The aim of the field-based assessments was to determine the effect of improved cooking stoves on fuel consumption in households in Uganda
The survey was aimed at fulfilling surveying requirements as stipulated by the Gold Standard for successful monitoring and verification of the emission reductions accumulated under Biogas Solution Uganda Limited (BSUL) activities.
CIRCODU performed Controlled Cooking Tests (CCTS) on 6 stove types collected from the market in and around Kampala.
Since 2017, CIRCODU has been subcontracted by KPMG as an Independent verification and results monitoring of the Uganda Clean Cooking Supply Chain Expansion Project (UCCSCEP). CIRCODU’s main assignment has been to carry out field-based monitoring activities (user surveys, Kitchen Performance Tests and stove testing) for purposes of tracking and reporting of the project results.
Activities under this assignment included; Key Informant Interviews; Household surveys with sampled household heads or their representatives; Onsite Assessment and Literature review
